Empowering Excellence: Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Awards Scholarships at RULE
PHNOM PENH, February 23, 2026 — Excellence in the fields of law and economics was celebrated today at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) during the prestigious UFJ Scholarship Award Ceremony 2025.
The event highlighted the enduring partnership between Cambodia’s premier public university and the Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation, a philanthropic arm of one of Japan’s largest financial groups.
Distinguished Presence and Support
The ceremony was presided over by high-level management from both institutions, reflecting the significance of this academic sponsorship:
- Representing RULE: H.E. Prof. Dr. Luy Channa, Rector of RULE, along with his senior management team.
- Representing the Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation: Mr. Takashi Oyamada (Chairman and Senior Advisor of MUFG Bank, Ltd.) and Mr. Kunihiro Watanabe (Managing Director).

During the ceremony, the Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation awarded scholarships to three selected students. Each recipient received US$1,200 in funding, a significant contribution toward their academic pursuits and professional development.
