AISPP–IDP Partnership Expands Cambodia’s Global Education Opportunities
AISPP & IDP Education Partnership
PHNOM PENH – The Australian International School Phnom Penh (AISPP) has established a partnership with IDP Education Cambodia to offer Cambodian students clearer pathways to higher education abroad, aiming to boost Cambodia’s international education scene.
The partnership was formalized on Tuesday through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Men Sopheak, Member of the Board of Directors of AISPP, and Mao Sreng, Country Director of IDP Education and the Australian Centre for Education (ACE).
The agreement aims to equip students and families with structured guidance for pursuing global education opportunities while supporting Cambodia’s long-term human capital development.
Rising demand among Cambodian students for overseas study, particularly in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, underscores the importance of this collaboration.
What the Partnership Offers
Under the partnership, AISPP students will have access to IDP’s comprehensive services, including:
- Study Abroad Counseling: Personalized guidance on choosing the right destination, institution, and program.
- University Admissions Support: Assistance with applications to over 1,000 partner schools and universities worldwide.
- Visa Application Guidance: Expert support navigating student visa requirements for major study destinations.
- IELTS Preparation: Access to resources for the world’s leading English language test, co-owned by IDP.
Leadership Perspectives
Men Sopheak, Member of the Board of Directors of AISPP, emphasized the value of combining AISPP’s International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum with IDP’s global network:
“Our IB programme nurtures critical thinking and a global perspective. This collaboration ensures our students and families are exceptionally well prepared for future academic success both in Cambodia and abroad,” he said.
Mao Sreng, Country Director of IDP Education and the Australian Centre for Education (ACE), highlighted the partnership’s role in supporting informed decision-making:
“This MoU empowers AISPP students and parents to leverage IDP’s expertise, from counseling and university placement to visa support, enabling them to confidently pursue world-class education opportunities abroad,” he said.
Broader Impact on Cambodia’s Education Landscape
Education analysts say that partnerships between international schools and global education providers are becoming increasingly important as Cambodia seeks to build a skilled and globally competitive workforce.
Through its strong IB programme, AISPP continues to play a key role in Cambodia’s international education ecosystem, while IDP’s global reach facilitates student mobility across major study destinations.
The collaboration is expected to benefit not only individual students but also broader national priorities, including workforce development, knowledge transfer, and international engagement.
