Roadmap to Research: UHS Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Thesis Orientation
PHNOM PENH, February 13, 2026 — To ensure academic excellence and administrative clarity, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Health Sciences (SVS) recently organized a comprehensive orientation meeting for its graduate students.
The session was specifically tailored for students in Batch 6 of the Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Batch 5 of the Skin and Cosmetic programs, focusing on the standardized format and ethical requirements for their upcoming thesis defenses.
Navigating the 7 Stages of a Thesis Proposal
The college team provided a detailed roadmap for students, emphasizing the structured procedure required to move from an initial idea to a final graduation certificate.
The journey includes:
- Online Registration: Initiating the research request via the official university portal.
- Proposal Approval: Securing consent from faculty elders and advisors.
- Project Protection: Presenting the initial scope of the research.
- Scientific Committee Meeting: Undergoing a rigorous peer review for scientific validity.
- Official Nomination: Receiving the formal Nomination Letter for a Director or Co-Director.
- Library Reform Standards: Ensuring all application forms and references meet the updated SVS library standards.
- Final Protection: The successful defense leading to graduation.
Ethics as a Foundation for Success
Beyond the technicalities of research, the orientation emphasized the 2-year curriculum and the importance of professional ethics. Students were reminded that adhering to strict ethical guidelines during their study period is the essential foundation for their future careers in the medical and cosmetic fields.
The meeting also served as an open forum, allowing the 36 graduate students to voice challenges and receive direct guidance from the Research and Planning Office, ensuring no student faces their research journey alone.
