Under the high presidency of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, and President of the Cambodia National Scouts, the event marked the formal induction of 320 students into the Unity Corps.
The Symbolism of the Scarf
The 8th generation of NUM senior scouts received their official shawls, a symbol of their commitment to the scout’s oath and the values of the Unity Corps. During the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that scouting is not just an extracurricular activity, but a foundational pillar for building:
- National Unity: Strengthening the bond between students and their country.
- Civic Responsibility: Encouraging youth to take an active role in community service.
- Professional Integrity: Developing the discipline and ethical standards required in the world of management and business.
A Collaborative Milestone
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished delegation from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) and the leadership of the Cambodia National Scouts. The presence of the University’s Rector, Vice Chancellors, and professors highlighted the strong institutional support for the scouting movement within NUM’s academic environment.
By integrating scouting into the university experience, NUM continues to produce graduates who are not only academically proficient but also socially conscious and ready to lead with honor.
