Safety First: SBB Cambodia Team Completes Intensive Fire Safety Training in Siem Reap
Ensuring a secure workplace requires constant vigilance and professional preparation. Recently, the SBB Cambodia staff gathered at the Cambodian National Youth Center for their comprehensive annual Fire Training.
The session was conducted by experts from the Siem Reap Police Office of Fire Prevention and Rescue, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and emergency response.
Masterclass in Emergency Response
The training was divided into two critical phases to ensure every team member felt confident and capable:
- Theoretical Prevention: Staff engaged in a detailed presentation regarding hazard prevention and the best protocols for dealing with fire-based emergencies.
- Practical Simulations: Moving beyond the classroom, the team participated in hands-on exercises.
- Equipment Mastery: Participants reviewed and practiced the correct techniques for using fire blankets.
- Extinguisher Training: The team gained experience operating a variety of fire extinguishers to suppress simulated flames.
Building a Culture of Preparedness
SBB Cambodia believes that this yearly investment in professional capacity is essential for maintaining a high-standard work environment. By strengthening their knowledge and skills, the staff are better equipped to protect one another and ensure the safety of everyone in their facilities.
