Empowering Student Voices: NUBB Hosts Workshop on Grievance Guidelines
BATTAMBANG, February 20, 2026 — To strengthen the relationship between the student body and university administration, the Student Affairs Office at the National University of Battambang organized a vital workshop titled “Dissemination of Student Grievances Guideline to Students.”
The event was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Sam Rany, Vice Rector and representative of H.E. Sok Khorn, Rector of NUBB. The session brought together 103 participants, including administrative officers, staff, and student leaders such as class monitors and subclass monitors from all academic majors.
Navigating the Grievance Framework
The primary goal of the workshop was to ensure that students are fully aware of their rights and the formal channels available to them for expressing concerns. The dissemination focused on three key areas:
- Understanding the Guidelines: A deep dive into the official university policy regarding what constitutes a valid grievance.
- Identifying Grievance Types: Clarifying the different categories of issues, ranging from academic disputes and facility concerns to administrative hurdles.
- Methods and Mechanisms: Providing a step-by-step guide on how to file a grievance, the timeline for responses, and the specific committees responsible for resolution.
Fostering an Inclusive Environment
By educating class monitors and student representatives, NUBB ensures that this information reaches every corner of the campus. Dr. Sam Rany emphasized that these mechanisms are not just for complaints, but are essential tools for continuous institutional improvement. When students understand how to provide constructive feedback through the right channels, the university can respond more effectively to their needs.
This workshop marks a significant step in NUBB’s commitment to transparency, ensuring that student concerns are handled with the professional rigour and fairness they deserve.
