Spirit of Ramadan: CUMT Supports Students and Staff with Food Package Distribution
PHNOM PENH, February 15, 2026 — As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Cambodia University of Management and Technology (CUMT) organized a significant food distribution initiative to support its staff and students. The program was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hussain Mohammad Farid, Chairman of the CUMT Board of Governors and President of the Cambodia Muslim Intellectual League.
Supporting Students Far from Home
Recognizing the financial challenges faced by students living away from their families, the initiative specifically targeted those from various provinces currently residing in Phnom Penh.
- Generous Sponsorship: Through the support of Novelle Opteque and the Cambodia Muslim Intellectual League, a total of 200 food packages were prepared.
- Easing the Burden: The primary goal of the distribution was to alleviate the daily living expenses of students and academic staff during this period of fasting.
- National Reach: The program benefited students who have traveled from all over the country to pursue their education at CUMT.
