Little Heroes: Paragon ISC Toddlers Dive into Cambridge “Firemen” Theme
PHNOM PENH, February 18, 2026 — The Toddler and Nursery classrooms at Paragon International School were recently transformed into high-energy fire station simulations. As part of their Cambridge Early Years curriculum, students stepped into the boots of “Brave Firefighters” for a day of hands-on discovery and community-themed roleplay.
Learning Through Simulation
Rather than simply reading about emergency services, teachers designed various learning stations to help children explore the theme of “Firemen” through sensory and imaginative play:
- The “Pretend” Fire Station: Classrooms were reconfigured with hoses, helmets, and “fire trucks,” allowing toddlers to simulate emergency responses.
- Community Hero Awareness: Through roleplay, children learned the vital role firefighters play in helping and protecting the community.
- Skill Development: The engagement focused on creativity, teamwork, and communication, as students had to work together to “extinguish” fires and save the day.
The Cambridge Early Years Advantage
As a CIS-accredited institution, Paragon ISC utilizes the Cambridge Early Years framework to foster a “Learn Today for a Better Tomorrow” mindset. These simulations are key to:
- Understanding the World: Helping juniors identify community helpers and the tools they use.
- Social & Emotional Growth: Building confidence through role-playing and collaborative problem-solving.
- Active Engagement: Ensuring that meaningful learning is synonymous with joy and excitement.
