Leading the Green Wave: True VISIONS BM2 Campus Commits to a Zero Plastic Future
PHNOM PENH, February 16, 2026 — Sustainability took center stage today at the True VISIONS International School (BM2 Campus). In a dedicated community gathering, school leadership met with parents to launch their latest mission: transforming the campus into a Zero Plastic School.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Education’s recent calls for “Environment and Resiliency” in schools, proving that True VISIONS is leading by example in the heart of Phnom Penh.
The Zero Plastic Roadmap
Becoming a “Zero Plastic School” is a rigorous process that involves the entire “One School, One Community” ecosystem. The school’s strategy focuses on:
- Waste Segregation: Implementing clear systems for students to distinguish between organic waste and recyclables.
- Eliminating Single-Use Plastics: Encouraging the use of reusable water bottles, tiffins, and eco-friendly packaging in the school canteen.
- Educational Discipline: Integrating environmental ethics into the school’s core pillar of discipline, teaching students that respecting the planet is a form of self-respect.
A Partnership with Parents
The success of such a massive shift depends on the “strong support” of the parent community. Today’s session at the BM2 Campus was designed to align home habits with school values. When parents and teachers speak with one voice on environmental issues, students are more likely to adopt these green habits for life.
As a “School of DISCIPLINE,” True VISIONS is teaching its students that true leadership requires the discipline to make ethical choices, even when they are less convenient than using plastic.
