“Masters of Our Future”: PUC Leadership Convenes for Intensive Staff Development Training
PHNOM PENH, February 17, 2026 — Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) officially launched its comprehensive Staff Development Training this Tuesday, a two-day initiative aimed at aligning the university’s workforce with the evolving demands of modern higher education.
The session was presided over by H.E. Dr. Kolpheng Vaddhana, CEO of PUC, who delivered a powerful message of self-empowerment and national pride. “We are the masters of our own future,” he reminded the assembly, urging the management and staff to take ownership of their professional growth to better serve the institution and the nation.
A Roadmap for Institutional Growth
The training brought together a “who’s who” of PUC leadership, including Vice Presidents and Deans, to share expertise on strategic planning and operational efficiency. The curriculum was built around four pillars of professional excellence:
- Vision Realization: Ensuring every staff member, from the PUC Institute of Foreign Languages to the main university departments, understands their specific role in achieving the university’s long-term goals.
- Leadership & Communication: Strengthening the “soft skills” required for effective teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Customer Service in Education: Enhancing the student experience by treating education as a high-standard service journey.
- The 5 Standards of Model Schools: Deep-diving into the essential metrics of academic success:
- Student Learning Outcomes
- Teaching and Learning Processes
- Community Engagement
- School Operations and Management
- Accountability
Experts in the Classroom
The second day of training featured specialized sessions led by distinguished speakers, including Dr. Sophia D. Kol (Policy Development), Dr. Chhiv Thet (Business & Economics), and Mr. Op Justin Dara (VP of PUC). By utilizing real-world Case Studies, the leadership team provided staff with practical solutions to complex administrative and academic challenges.
This intensive training ensures that when students step onto a PUC campus, they are supported by a team that is not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to a shared vision of academic and ethical excellence.
