Digital Integration: MoEYS Modernizes Teacher Development Systems in Kampong Speu
KAMPONG SPEU, February 23, 2026 — A technical revolution is underway at Kampong Speu High School. Representatives from across the Ministry’s digital and administrative departments gathered for a two-day consultation workshop to synchronize Cambodia’s educational data systems.
Supported by the Teacher Education Enhancement Program (GPE5/STEPCam-II), the seminar focuses on making the CPDMIS (Continuous Professional Development Management Information System) “talk” to other essential ministry platforms.
Building a Unified Digital Ecosystem
The goal of this workshop is Interoperability—the ability of different computer systems to exchange and make use of information. Currently, MoEYS uses several distinct platforms, and the Department of Training and Vocational Education is working to link them together:
- CPDMIS: Specifically for teacher professional development.
- EMIS: Education Management Information System.
- HRMIS: Human Resource Management Information System.
- EFMS: Electronic Finance Management System.
- Primary Digital Paths (PLP): Supporting primary education tracking.
Technical Focus: Secure Data Transfer
To make these systems work together, 40 professional officers are focusing on Endpoint API Development. This technical process involves:
- Standardizing APIs: Setting the technical rules so that data moves safely between departments.
- Real-Time Updates: Ensuring that when a teacher completes a training course, their HR and professional records are updated instantly.
- Transparency: Making it easier for teachers to monitor their own career progress and capabilities in the digital age.
This modernization effort is a crucial step in ensuring that teacher quality is maintained through a data-driven, transparent, and highly accessible system.
