PHNOM PENH, February 23, 2026 — In a proactive effort to foster community safety and youth awareness, the Office of Quality Assurance and Internal Audit and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) at Vanda University joined forces for a vital outreach mission.
On Monday morning, Vanda representatives collaborated with the Krang Pongro Administrative Post to deliver an educational seminar on the “Safe Village-Commune Policy and Drug Use Education” to the young students of Krang Pongro Primary School in Dangkor District.
Education for a Safer Community
The dissemination program focused on the pillars of the Royal Government’s “Safe Village-Commune” policy, tailored specifically for a primary school audience. Key areas of focus included:
- Drug Awareness: Educating children on the dangers of drug use and the importance of saying “no” to harmful substances.
- Village Safety: Understanding the local policies that keep neighborhoods free from crime, theft, and illegal gambling.
- Collaboration with Authorities: Encouraging students to trust and communicate with local administrative posts to ensure collective security.
- Youth Empowerment: Inspiring young students to become positive role models within Krang Pongro Commune.
A Collaborative Mission
The event highlighted the strong bond between Vanda University’s student leaders and local law enforcement. By bringing university-level energy and administrative expertise to the primary school level, the organizers provided the children of Krang Pongro with the knowledge they need to stay safe and focused on their studies.
This initiative underscores Vanda University’s commitment to social responsibility and its role in supporting the national agenda for a safer, healthier Cambodia.
