Professionalizing the Youth: Administrative Writing Training for National Debate Volunteers
PHNOM PENH, February 21, 2026 — Success in leadership often depends on the ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism. Recognizing this, the organizing committee of the National Youth Debate Program 2026 held a specialized training session this past Saturday focused on the “Basics of Writing Administrative Letters.”
The training was specifically designed for the program’s volunteer youth team, providing them with the formal communication skills required to support high-level national events.
Expert-Led Skill Development
The session was led by Mr. Ros Phearak, Deputy Director of the Youth Department at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. Drawing from years of ministerial experience, he provided the volunteers with a masterclass in official correspondence.
Key Objectives of the Training:
- Standardized Formatting: Educating volunteers on the specific forms and structural layouts used within the MoEYS design framework.
- Formal Language & Tone: Understanding the nuances of “proper administrative writing” to ensure all official communications are professional and respectful.
- Organizational Efficiency: Helping youth volunteers streamline their support for the National Youth Debate Program through accurate and clear documentation.
- Professional Grooming: Preparing the youth team for future careers in administration and public service by instilling high standards of paperwork.
Empowering the Debate Program
The National Youth Debate Program 2026 relies heavily on its dedicated volunteers. By investing in their administrative capacity, the Ministry is not only ensuring the smooth operation of the competition but is also providing these young individuals with a “soft skill” that will serve them long after the debates have concluded.
