Speech is Power: VLEAD x Good Citizen Program Showcases Youth Ingenuity
The Center for Digital Education and Distance Learning (CDDE) recently concluded a landmark initiative: the VLEAD x Good Citizen: “Speech is Power” program. This collaboration was designed to highlight the brilliance of Cambodian students in interpreting and communicating the core values of modern citizenship.
A Collaboration for Excellence
The program was made possible through a strategic partnership between the public and private sectors, bringing together diverse educational perspectives:
- Supporters: Aii Language Center and American Intercon School (AIS) provided critical support and resources.
- Participants: Talented student speakers represented AIS, BELTEI International School, and the New Generation School (NGS) program.
- Core Mission: Students were challenged to capture and interpret “views of consciousness” on what it means to be a good citizen in today’s society through the medium of public speaking.
Digital Content Review with H.E. Dr. San Vathana
On February 22, 2026, H.E. Dr. San Vathana, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, met with school leaders and the student speakers. The primary focus of the meeting was to:
- Review Content Production: Inspect the digital content extracted from the program’s speeches to ensure high-quality educational material for the public.
- Promote Digital Learning: Align the program’s outcomes with the Ministry’s goal of expanding digital and distance learning resources across Cambodia.
- Encourage Youth Leadership: Recognize the ingenuity of the students who used their “speech power” to advocate for positive social values.
By transforming these speeches into digital content, MoEYS is creating a lasting resource that allows students nationwide to learn from their peers about the importance of civic responsibility.
